The Magic of Turkey is a comprehensive guide to the various coasts of Turkey. It offers practical information on all sorts of topics ranging from anchorage areas and marinas, to weather forecasts, to the local cuisine of some of the most intriguing coasts in the world. At the same time, the book is the tale of a voyage made by the author and his wife on their 55-foot ketch, along the Turkish coast, and their fascinating experiences. They stayed for two years along the coast of Caria and Lycia, where they swam in crystal clear water over the submerged ruins of ancient houses, anchored in postcard-perfect bays, moored in tiny ports far from the tourist areas, and visited legendary archeological sites.
